Can you launch a product using Coldplay lyrics only?

Some April Fools Day fun…

Introducing…Product X. I am going to launch it to the market using only Coldplay lyrics to sell it. The only rule, I can’t quote more than 2 verses at a time from the same song . Would you buy it?

Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And nothing else compares

Oh, nothing else compares

Such a heavenly view

You’re such a heavenly view

Now I feel my heart beating

I feel my heart underneath my skin

Just a puppet on a lonely string

Oh, would ever want to be king

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can’t replace

Now for control let’s do the same exercise using Tupac’s lyrics. Enter Product Y. Would you buy it?

How do you want it?

How does it feel?

Cause when I was low you was there for me

And never left me alone because you cared for me

A peaceful place where I can go,

To clear my head I’m feeling low

Institutionalized, I live my life a product made to crumble

But too hardened for a smile, we’re too crazy to be humble

I make a promise if you go with me, just let me know

I’ll have you hollering my name out before I leave

I’m a huge fan of both Coldplay and Tupac. Must admit it was hard to find Tupac lyrics that didn’t contain cursing. Product X must be something of beauty. Everything about it and in its environment gives off this vibe. Product Y something valuable, but more functional perhaps. Maybe this goes to show how much our environment influences the way we communicate. Even about things of potential beauty.
